Nick Rado

Presenter | MC | Comedian | Writer
Nick Rado is not just the only comedian to clinch the title of Best Comedy MC six times at the NZ Comedy Guild Awards, but was also voted Best Male Comedian of 2019. His stellar performances have led him to the Sydney Opera House for the prestigious Just for Laughs Sydney showcase and have seen him open for legends like Nate Bargatze, Rob Brydon, Aziz Ansari, and Russell Howard on their global tours.

On top of his success in comedy Nick has made his mark as a broadcaster, receiving several Sony Awards and serving as the Executive Producer for Heart Breakfast with Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston in London. He now hosts the award-winning podcasts, 'Socrates Walks into a Bar' and 'Sporting Rumble,’ both honoured at the New Zealand podcast awards. His on air experience also includes The Rock’s Saturday Morning Breakfast and More FM Rodney’s Breakfast shows.

From 2014 to 2021 Nick excelled as the head writer for TV3's award-winning news comedy show, 7 Days, penning over 300 episodes. His comedic influence extends across America on Sirius XM’s Laugh USA and Comedy Greats channels, and he is the first Kiwi comic to record a US comedy special for Drybar, which boasts over 8 million followers. His debut album, On-Trend, reached number 4 on iTunes’ all albums chart.

On television, Nick has made memorable appearances on various platforms, including on The Comedy Channel Australia, The Nightwatchmen, Narrow World of Sports for Fox Sports Australia, and Comedy Galas on both TVNZ and TV3 in New Zealand. He has showcased his acting skills in Rhys Darby's Netflix sitcom, Short Poppies; and more recently garnered International acclaim writing and starring in short film Mission I’m Possible.
