Born in Tāmaki Makaurau, Amanda Grace Leo (梁宿娴) is a Chinese Singaporean actor and singer.
Amanda spent her childhood between Aotearoa and Singapore, training in both countries before completing her tertiary education in Auckland, were she gained first class honours in Dramaturgy from the University of Auckland.
Since graduation, she has consistently showcased her versatile skill set in the Auckland theatre scene. She has a long-standing collaboration with Oriental Maidens, having played the lead in two seasons of Nathan Joe’s I Am Rachel Chu. She also starred in Scenes From A Yellow Peril and Basmati Bitch, both produced by Auckland Theatre Company. Other theatrical highlights include Call of the Sparrows, for Proudly Asian Theatre, and the Auckland Fringe debut of Oliver Chong's one-woman multilingual show Roots.
With great comic timing, Amanda is also a force on screen, recently showing off her talents in a number of viral Viva la Dirt League sketches. Additional recent screen highlights include an episode lead in popular TikTok series n00b, and a cheeky cameo in HBO's Our Flag Means Death.
