Ghazaleh Gol

Ghazaleh Gol is an award winning Iranian-Kiwi actor, writer and director who has worked across both film and television in all disciplines.

She is also a Fulbright scholar who studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California, where she worked for the Sundance Institute. Ghazaleh's first book of personal essays The Girl From Revolution Road was nationally acclaimed and she is currently working on her second.

Ghazaleh was one of the writer/directors on the anthology film Kāinga which premiered at MIFF, and the series director for dramedy show Miles from Nowhere (for SKY TV).  She has directed numerous episodes on Aotearoa's long running serial drama Shortland Street and is currently working on a variety of projects including her first feature. The feature was shortlisted for the Sundance Screenwriters Lab and was also placed in the top 10% of the Nicholl’s (an international screenwriting competition). Ghazaleh also has as a YA comedy series for TVNZ in development.
