Paul Waggott
Actor
Paul Waggott is an award-winning actor with a career that spans screen, stage, and audio.
He recently completed a year-long stint as pharmacist Thaddeus Fleiss on our beloved soap Shortland Street, and enjoyed a recurring role in Apple TV’s adaptation of Time Bandits.
On stage, Paul’s work has taken him across New Zealand, the USA, and the UK. Notable performances include his role as Gabriel in The Road That Wasn’t There, which toured the UK in 2018 and internationally in 2019 with Trick of the Light Theatre Company. In 2019, he also played Harry in Anahera at London’s Finborough Theatre.
In addition to his on-screen and stage work, Paul is a skilled voice artist. He is known for portraying Patrick Nolan in the ongoing narrative podcast The Offensive and has voiced characters in various audio dramas, including Jackie the Ripper. He also stars as Doctor John Watson in Sherlock & Co., an audio drama for Goalhanger Podcasts in the UK.
Paul is a versatile and adaptable performer, who enjoys shifting between a variety of genres and mediums.
