Peter Tait is a versatile actor with a rich career spanning decades. He is perhaps best known for his long standing connection to the Lord of the Rings Universe, having appeared a number of roles in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. More recently, he played series regular Tredwill in Amazon's The Rings of Power television series.
Tait's work shows his adaptability and versatility across multiple genres. He's a whizz with accents and characters, lending his talents to Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, and has had many notable roles in New Zealand productions including on Westside, The Brokenwood Mysteries, Underbelly. He has appeared in a number of critically acclaimed short films including cult horror short Kitchen Sink, and The Singing Trophy - both of which screened at Cannes, as well as making successful ventures into comedy with projects like the short film Bogans, which he wrote and co-produced.
Tait's physical presence and compelling performances continue to earn recognition as a distinct creative force in both the local and international arena.
