Stephen Gallagher

Composer | Music Editor
Stephen is an award winning film and television composer and music editor, who has worked with Peter Jackson, Brian Eno, Ed Sheeran and Nick Cave on Oscar nominated and Emmy award winning projects.

His credits include being Music Editor for Peter Jackson’s ‘The Beatles: Get Back’, for which he won a 2022 MPSE Golden Reel Award; The Hobbit trilogy for which he also composed additional songs; Supervising Music Editor for Amy Berg’s West Of Memphis and for Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones for which he composed additional music to accompany Brian Eno’s original score.

Alongside fellow composer David Long, Stephen composed the score for Emmy Award winning show Inside and three seasons of the BBC series Mystic. He was nominated for an Apra Silver Scroll Award for his score to Nic Gorman’s feature film Human Traces in 2018.
