Sugar Rea-Bruce

Actor | Devisor

Sugar is an emerging actor and theatre maker who began developing her creative voice in 2019 with Massive Theatre Company’s Massive Nui Ensemble. Her enjoyment of the rigour and passion of creating work lead to further study, culminating in her recent graduation from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School.

Theatre highlights include the 2024 season of Fucking A directed by Keagan Carr-Francsh and the 2023 production of Mr Burns: A Post Electric Play directed by Stella Reid.

An avid maker of her own work, Sugar is currently developing her original show Below The Worms for the 2025 NZ Fringe Festival. Her style is heartwarming, dreamlike and delightfully eccentric.
